Job Overview

The HR Business Partner for our Mexican manufacturing plant will play a crucial role in aligning our human resources strategy with business objectives. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the plant, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, and compliance with Mexican labor laws. The ideal candidate will act as a consultant on human resources management and organizational changes, working closely with plant management to enhance work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented individual who is fluent in both Spanish and English and has a deep understanding of the cultural and regulatory landscape in Mexico.

A Day In The Life

 

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed.
  • Conducts interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns.  Investigates matters appropriately to resolve internal issues.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of Mexican labor laws and how to apply them.
  • Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports, organizational charts, and employee handbooks.
  • Provide guidance on compensation and benefits, including participating in salary surveys and managing the salary structure.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Act as a change agent to drive and implement organizational changes and interventions inspired by business needs and HR strategy.

What will help you thrive in this role?

 

  • Bachelor's degree in HR
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2-3 years as HRBP
  • Proven experience in handling complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience in the implementation of HR strategies and familiarity with HR operations and legislation in Mexico.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English 80%
  • Proficiency in with Microsoft Office: PowerPoint and Excel at an advanced level.
  • Extensive knowledge of Mexican labor law and employment standards.
  • Conflict resolution strategies knowledge.
