Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Simulation Engineer to be a part of Simulation CoE team having specific expertise in the fields of Mechanical, Thermal, Electrical and CFD Simulations.
The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of physics and a strong background in electrical simulations, particularly in electrostatic simulations for power transmissions and low frequency electro-magnetic simulations for solenoids, contactors, and instrument transformers.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of electrical systems and the ability to apply advanced simulation techniques to design, analyze, and optimize our products
A Day In The Life
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate simulation results into broader project goals.
Conduct detailed Electro-static, Electromagnetic simulations using FEA tools such as ANSYS Maxwell or COMSOL.
Verify and validate the design and functionality of power transmission components, Reclosers, Solenoid actuators, Contactors to optmize designs and meet ANSI/IEEE Standards
Design and analyze control strategies for solenoids and linear electromagnetic actuators, focusing on energy efficiency and performance optimization.
Analyze simulation data to derive insights and actionable recommendations for system improvements.
Lead and manage simulation projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and project deliverables.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- 4-8 years of experience in electrical simulation
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as ANSYS Maxwell or COMSOL.
- Strong experience in the design and simulation of Power Transmission and Distribution connectors, high voltage contactors, reclosers, and solenoids.
- Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent technical communication skills, capable of preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
