Job Overview
Hubbell is searching for a talented, well-rounded Maintenance Worker (Level B) to work in a highly dynamic facilities/maintenance department. This position will be held in our 2nd shift with schedule ranging from 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM. Duties include completing assigned work orders, supporting the performance of preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting including emergency breakdowns in a high-production manufacturing facility. This will also include daily pass-downs and shift reports to other shifts, engineering, and other general facilities maintenance work throughout the building. Pay range for this position is $25-$28 per hour with additional 10% premium of base pay for all hours worked in the 2nd shift.
A Day In The Life
- Complete all work and directives from Maintenance Supervisor
- Follow all Company Safety Policies
- Assist supervisor in installations,
- Complete preventative maintenance repairs and follow the preventative maintenance schedule
- Perform upgrades and repairs on buildings, equipment, and other machinery in a professional and safe manner
- Follow consistent maintenance schedules to ensure production downtime is kept at a minimum
- Communicate and work with other departments of the organization to meet demands or changes that may arise
- Support Maintenance Supervisor during any inspections, installations, preparations, or absences.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- 2-5 years as a Maintenance/ Facility Lead or worker preferably in a large manufacturing plant/ facility
- Be familiar with PLCs and their functionalities (no programming exp required)
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of maintenance/ facility disciplines
- Have a strong understanding and knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnosing heavy duty industrial-sized hydraulic machines/ presses
- Must have at least 2- 5 years working with high voltage of 460 or 480
- Must be able to read electrical schematics
- Excellent communication
- Detail oriented
- Trade Certification or Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Cal/ OSHA regulations within a manufacturing setting
