Position Overview

Maintain and continuously improve the Company’s material supply chain.  This position supports the overall objectives of the Company, including reliable and efficient acquisition of required materials, maintenance of responsible inventory levels, NPD sourcing strategy, and supplier performance tracking to support the goals of the Company’s Operations. This position, Sourcing Manager, supports all the Commercial Construction and Industrial businesses as part of the HCI group.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of NPD and life cycle projects as identified by the division. Work with Marketing and Engineering to develop new products and improve costs and supply chain of existing products.  
  • For any fully matured life cycle products, lead successful exit of products/ suppliers in a direction consistent with the goals of product Marketing team. 
  • Drive value and performance thru effectively lead cross-functional teams to develop and maintain technology and product strategies. 
  • Plan and implement activities for cost reduction with cost being defined a cost, lead-time, and quality. Develop and maintain a monthly status of all sourcing savings and productivity projects. 
  • Develop strategies for the mitigation of risk in the supply chain for new (NPD) and existing product lines.
  • Manage sourcing, negotiations and implementation of agreements.
  • Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers. 
  • Analyze trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues and minimize risk. 
  • Implement a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives utilizing the current supplier rating program. 
  • Establishes/maintains purchasing policies and ensures compliance adhering to all audit requirements of the Procure to Pay process. This will cover process adherence for all audits (SOX, ISO, Internal and External)  
  • Monitor, and report to the Sr Director of Procurement/Sourcing, any opportunities and jeopardy’s in the markets having impact on the Company.
Skills and Experience
  • 5 years Purchasing or Strategic Sourcing. Plus 3+ years in Operations/Supply Chain. Strong international or Asia Pacific sourcing experience preferred. 
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and databases, such as Microsoft (Access, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Power BI & SAP) 
  • Ability to manage projects, set goals and accountabilities to ensure a successful delivery of on-time and within budget. 
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and language related to vendor agreements and contracts. 
  • Excellent presentation, relationship building capabilities and communication skills.
Education
Bachelors Degree in Business
