Job Overview

The Pricing Lead provides pricing and quotations for designated market areas supporting several business units within Hubbell Industrial (Gleason, ICD, Gaitronics). Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in Excel (including VLOOKUPs, percentage change analysis, aggregate increase reports, comparison reports, and margin calculations) and possess experience with analytics.This is a hybrid/flex role.There is approximately 25% travel with this role.

A Day In The Life

· Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, to analyze data efficiently.

· Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with product managers and sales teams to gain insights into customer and market dynamics.

· Pricing Strategy: Recommend pricing levels based on comprehensive analysis of market and customer behaviors.

· Pricing Negotiations: Engage in discussions with various stakeholders while maintaining empathy, integrity, and professionalism.

· Price Quote Management: Prepare and maintain price quotes, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies to meet customer expectations.

· Quote Adjustments: Handle urgent requests for minor modifications to quotes promptly.

· Quote Comparison and Renewal: Conduct comparisons and manage the renewal process to ensure timely completion.

· ERP and Customer Portal Management: Interpret and communicate information from ERP systems and customer portals to customers accurately.

· Professional Demeanor: Maintain composure and a positive attitude in a fast-paced team environment.

· Aggregate Increase Analysis: Perform detailed analysis on aggregate increases.

· High-Value Quote Discussions: Schedule and lead discussions with internal decision-makers regarding high-value quotes.

· Metals Clause Application: Understand and apply metals clauses appropriately in decision-making processes.

· Customer Spreadsheet Analysis: Analyze customer spreadsheets and provide timely responses.

· Workload Distribution: Collaborate with team members to balance workload effectively and ensure high-quality customer service.

· Interdepartmental Collaboration: Coordinate with order resolution, customer service, product management, and sales teams as needed to address customer needs.

· Procedure Adherence: Follow all internal procedures and work instructions to maintain standards and efficiency.

What will help you thrive in this role?

·Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field

· 2+ years of experience in pricing or analytical roles

· Prior experience in buyer/purchasing roles is beneficial, but not required

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

· Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and pricing software
