Job Overview
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility electro/mechanical equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives
A Day In The Life
- Oversee all maintenance items
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
- Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions
- Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments, electrical or electronic testing devices
- Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment
- Performs fabrication to include machining and general design and fit
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance services
- Other duties as assigned
What will help you thrive in this role?
- A minimum of 5 years manufacturing and facility maintenance experience required
- High level of troubleshooting skills required.
- Knowledge of industrial electric up to 600 volts.
- Ability to read & understand schematics.
- Knowledge of DC and AC Drives.
- Automation & PLC experience necessary.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and related low voltage controls.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and machinery installation.
- Must possess excellent mechanical skills.
- Must possess clean driving record.
- Must be available to work overtime as needed and to be on-call as directed.
- Must possess knowledge of and efficiently utilize MS Office and other facility related software.
- Must be able to work independently as well as with others.
- Must be able to give clear instructions.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to communicate and direct the work of outside vendors.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit or stand for periods of time.
• Occasional lifting up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to bend, squat and work in tight areas.
