Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility electro/mechanical equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives

A Day In The Life

• Oversee all maintenance items
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions
• Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments, electrical or electronic testing devices
• Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment
• Performs fabrication to include machining and general design and fit
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance services
• Other duties as assigned
   

What will help you thrive in this role?

• A minimum of 5 years manufacturing and facility maintenance experience required
• High level of troubleshooting skills required.
• Knowledge of industrial electric up to 600 volts.
• Ability to read & understand schematics.
• Knowledge of DC and AC Drives.
• Automation & PLC experience necessary.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and related low voltage controls.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and machinery installation.
• Must possess excellent mechanical skills.
• Must possess clean driving record.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed and to be on-call as directed.
• Must possess knowledge of and efficiently utilize MS Office and other facility related software.
• Must be able to work independently as well as with others.
• Must be able to give clear instructions.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to communicate and direct the work of outside vendors.

Physical Requirements:
•    Must be able to sit or stand for periods of time.
•    Occasional lifting up to 50lbs.
•    Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
•    Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
•    Must be able to bend, squat and work in tight areas.
