Position Overview

<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Plan, analyze, maintain and implement cost accounting and cost auditing assignments; development of standard costs, scrap, variances, cost analysis, physical inventory observation; fixed asset control, development, operation and analysis of efficient cost accounting data collection systems.  Provide general supervision to the required support functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Work in coordination with other finance area to ensure an efficient, accurate, and timely month-end closing.
  2. Monthly reconciliation of perpetual inventory to General Ledger utilizing INV28A and CCS241 reports.  Verification of purchases, transactions, shipments, inventories adjustments, scraps, vendor rejects, Excess and under, and inventory accruals.
  3. Directs the collections and computer updating of the necessary information required to prepare for the yearly cost build. 
  4. Analyze for accuracy the standard cost build-up, reviewing standard labor, burden and material, through physical observation and understanding of the production process, and discussion with appropriate personnel.
  5. Participates in time studies and in manufacturing process studies.  Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, overhead, manufacturing methods, or wages, for effects upon product costs, through the Engineering Change Committee.
  6. Analyzes cost records by performing product audits by comparing with actual production techniques, in conjunction with Engineering in maintaining the Bill of Materials (“BOM’s”) and routings correctly linked to the operation sheets.
  7. Prepare monthly inventory/cost management reports covering: purchases, variances, others.
Skills and Experience

 

  1. Bachelor in Business Administration with Major in Accounting and five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing environment with increased levels of responsibility, required.
  2. Proficiency of written and verbal language skills (Spanish and English).
  3. Active listener
  4. Reading comprehension
  5. Critical thinking using logic and reasoning
  6. Computer Skills, such as Windows (Word, Excel, Power Point), SAP, among others.
Education
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
