Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design Manufacturing line test fixtures, including electrical, mechanical and software development as required
  • Develop, document and execute objective, reproducible and maintainable Engineering test processes and procedures to evaluate Product functionality
  • Create and update Operator Guides for Manufacturing line test fixtures
  • Remotely assist troubleshooting of test fixtures located in various Hubbell manufacturing sites

Position Overview

The Test Engineer position consists of the following main areas:

  • Design, build and document Manufacturing testers in support of Engineering New Product Development
  • Assist in functional verification testing of new products during development phase
  • Provide liaison between Engineering/Project Managers and Manufacturing for Tester projects
  • Provide guidance for resolving Tester-related issues at Manufacturing sites

Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on capabilities to assemble and wire test fixtures
  • Knowledge of test processes, strategies and techniques including FMEA
  • Some experience with CAD software preferred
  • Some experience with schematic capture and layout software preferred
  • Experience with quality programs preferred
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and debugging skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
