Position Overview

The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys with all tasks associated with the effective management and resolution of litigation, claims and threats brought by or against the enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities


Case Administration:

  • Serve as the primary service of process contact for Hubbell and its subsidiaries
  • Review, analyze and recommend responses to complaints, demands, subpoenas and other process and requests
  • Correspond with internal clients, insurers and outside counsel regarding assignment, management and status of litigation, claims and threats
  • Collaborate with internal clients and outside counsel to identify custodians, collect documents and information and respond to discovery requests
  • Manage in-house e-discovery system
  • Assist attorneys with identifying and retaining in-house and external experts
  • Create and maintain case dockets and calendars
  • Manage legal hold process and database
  • Maintain database of litigation, claims and threats
  • Conduct legal and product-related research, as necessary


Legal Billing:

  • Create and maintain e-billing matters
  • Prepare various spending and budget reports
  • Maintain database of approved law firms, experts and billing rates



  • Prepare various bench-marking surveys and presentations, as requested
  • Assist attorneys with various department and cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Create and maintain physical and electronic case files
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal for an in-house legal department or law firm
  • Self-starter who can effectively work independently or as a member of a team
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint; familiarity with e-billing software such as Legal Tracker


Bachelors Degree
