Position Overview

Documentation Control Engineer, Engineering Services

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assign, and direct all work projects in Documentation Control Group.
  • Direct and instruct drafters and document administrators as required to ensure conformance to engineering and drafting procedures.
  • Implement and manage the SAP based engineering change system.
  • Check completed EC’s, drawings, bills of material, specifications and other new and revised documents prior to final release.
  • Manage the operation of engineering document scanning and printing equipment

Skills and Experience

Associate Degree with minimum 5 years' experience or Bachelors Degree with 2 plus years of experience in electro-mechanical drafting and assembly layout work using AutoCAD and Inventor 3D solid modeling software and vault. SAP experience including bills of material, and material master maintenance.  Experience in the implementation and management of the SAP engineering change system.   Additional experience in metal forming, plastic molding processes, and basic electrical circuit knowledge.  Proficient with business software such as, Word, Excel, and Access.  Technical writing skills for procedures, work instructions and engineering notices. Good communication and people skills.  A self-starter capable of independently handling multiple tasks.


Associates Degree
Bachelors Degree in Engineering General
