Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

PRIMARY PURPOSE:  Plan, organize, and direct the activities of personnel assigned to C&I, Water and Drain Sales and Marketing teams to obtain the maximum profitable sales for the Enclosure & Drains Business Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop annual sales / marketing goals that are in line with business’ strategic goals
  • Manage the sales, marketing, advertising, and product development budgets
  • Track performance to Plan and adjust course when necessary
  • Participate in the development and presentation of business plans
  • Lead a manufacturer’s representative sales team
  • Lead and motivate field sales and marketing employees
  • Maintain personal contact with key national customers to drive growth.
  • Develop National Account action plans
  • Develop and drive new product development opportunities that exceed 4% of total sales
  • Craft content marketing campaigns spanning multiple media types that produce a quantifiable return on investment (ROI)
  • Evaluate the Enclosure market, gain competitive intelligence, and develop a strategy to capitalize on opportunities to grow market share
  • Provide guidance on overall and specific product directions
  • Provide leadership for advertising and trade shows related to product branding



  • Travel required, 25%-50%
  • Excellent communication skills; Oral, Written and Presentation
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization as well as maintain a professional and customer-focused relationship with outside contacts
  • Must be results driven
  • Experience in strategic planning
  • Experience in project management

Skills and Experience

  • Relocation to Lenoir City, TN area required
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Engineering or Business. MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience directing sales and/or marketing teams
  • Proficient user of Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software
  • SAP experience preferred
