Position Overview

The Marketing Specialist will schedule, organize, participate and lead pre-planning activities i.e. meet with product managers for discovery of concept, story boarding, and planning video shoot.  Will also assist with video production from setting up video shoot, filming and editing. Coordinate video activities with brand/product managers, engineers, graphic designers and marketing communication managers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizes, develops, refines and finalizes designs for multimedia pieces to support Hubbell Lighting indoor brands' product and brand marketing initiatives (includes videos, interactive presentations, digital media, and photography - both product in studio and application site photography).
  • Conducts research as necessary for the production of effective sales-generating, brand enhancing materials.
  • Photographing products for both print and digital collateral. Obtains stock art and audio files as needed
  • Assists Marketing Communications team with the management of projects, temporary contract workers, consultants, and other outside vendors, as required.
  • Maintains graphic standards for all brand marketing collateral and assure consistent adherence.  Assures overall quality, consistency and accuracy of all Hubbell Lighting indoor brands' marketing communications.
  • Works in concert with the Marketing Communications Managers, Directors, fellow departmental Graphic Designers and Product & Sales Managers to support and assist in the introduction of new product launches and programs on time.
  • Coordinates product and training video productions with the interdepartmental and video production vendors.
  • Performs varied duties involved in the operation of company and departmental programs, projects and activities characterized by a confidential nature and/or requiring the use of discretion, judgment, tact and knowledge of applicable operations and personnel.
  • At times will be called upon to be a backup for team to develop content and design for the websites and print collateral as directed.
  • Reviews, proofs, and edits material content before pushing live for accuracy.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or relevant area of study required.
  • Must have previous experience in Video production and Post production editing.
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of work or other examples of work relevant to role.
  • Travel required for role, up to 25%
