Position Overview

Perform complex machine techniques after achieving production set-ups.  Create own tool bits for fabricating products to conform with engineering specifications. Perform quality incoming inspection on parts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to operate manual lathe and Bridgeport machine
  • Convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals
  • Operate machinery at or better than +/-.005 inch tolerances
  • Use fly cut tool
  • Grind tool bits for lathes and fly tool operations
  • Assure proper feeds and speeds for machining metals and plastics



  • Ability to use boring head
  • Demonstarte knowledge of process for production setup
  • Manufacture assembly parts from assembly and subassembly prints and assembly components
  • Assure quality products
  • Promote a safe working environment and follow all established Company safety policies, procedures and practices
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform the duties of an equal or lower skilled level as required
  • Able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to effectively communicate with co-workers
  • Ability to read blueprints and work with the Engineering Department
  • Perform related duties as required


Skills and Experience

Five (5) years experience


High School Diploma in Other
