Position Overview

The e-commerce Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing online product positioning on targeted e-commerce sites for Hubbell Lighting’s C&I business. This includes determining product and price categories across the C&I brand portfolio, conducting competitive benchmarking to identify product gaps/opportunities, and making pricing, content, and product selection recommendations to drive sales. In addition, the C&I e-commerce Product Marketing Specialist will develop and direct online marketing campaigns and marketing collateral to improve sales penetration and build Hubbell Lighting’s online brand awareness. The Product Marketing Specialist will be expected to partner closely with the C&I Product Management and Marketing Communication teams.   

We are looking for an experienced marketing analyst with an entrepreneurial attitude, metrics-driven mindset and commercial lighting/market experience to establish, implement and drive C&I e-commerce business. This person combines product-focused thinking with strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and leadership skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze online C&I marketplace to identify target e-commerce sites, product portfolio and pricing point trends. Collaborate with product management to influence new product selection and price points to take advantage of these trends.
  • Establish pricing strategy for product portfolio on targeted C&I e-commerce sites.
  • Collaborate with pricing team to adjust pricing and margin strategy as required.
  • Develops program-specific strategy, marketing plans, and goals to achieve marketing and customer engagement objectives.
  • Develops creative briefs and partners with creative teams to develop and execute omnichannel promotions for C&I products. 
  • Measure results of campaigns and modify appropriately to improve click through and conversion performance.
  • Work with internal resources for creation and distribution of marketing assets as needed to enhance our online content.
  • Track and evaluate site user behavior and make recommendations to improve user experience/usability and sales conversion.
  • Monitor campaign budgets to maximize ROI and prevent budget overruns.
  • Become an expert in extracting marketing information from customer dashboards such as Amazon’s Vendor Central and Wayfair’s Partner Portal for our analysis.

Skills and Experience

  • A 4-year degree is required.  A degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Design Fields, Engineering or other related disciplines preferred. 
  • Product and market experience with commercial and industrial lighting preferred but not required.
  • Experience in online retail marketing preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to create, measure, and improve data driven sales and marketing initiatives.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with highly developed analytical and numeric reasoning skills
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, verbal/written communication, leadership and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong ability to build solid relationships, both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organizational environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team in an environment with multiple projects, tight deadlines and changing priorities and show constant entrepreneurial initiative.
