Position Overview

The E&O Inventory Sales Specialist is responsible for actively promoting and selling excess and obsolete inventory for Hubbell Lighting’s C&I brand portfolio. Primary responsibility is to drive sales of identified excess and obsolete inventory to targeted customer channels including electrical distributors, electrical contractors, e-commerce and end-users. This position will be expected to partner closely with the quotations, sourcing, brand and marketing teams to develop and implement an effective strategy to achieve E&O sales results.

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and results-driven mindset to drive E&O sales for Hubbell Lighting’s C&I business. This person combines sales-focused thinking with strong product, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.

  • Strong analytical skills, proven ability to consume and understand data.
  • Ability to build solid relationships, both internal and external.
  • Strong presentation, problem solving, verbal/written communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organizational environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team in an environment with multiple projects, tight deadlines and changing priorities and show constant entrepreneurial initiative.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Position responsible for negotiating and closing E&O sales with electrical distributors, electrical contractors, e-commerce and end-user customers via established relationships and cold calling.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales forecast for E&O inventory.
  • Utilization of strong analytical and financial skills to develop pricing and proposals for prospective customers.
  • Responsible for preparing and presenting sales proposals to target customers.
  • Conduct routine and proactive analysis of current inventory to determine products at risk of becoming E&O.
  • Work with Hubbell Lighting’s brand and quotations management teams to establish pricing strategy for E&O inventory.  
  • Work with marketing communications team for creation and distribution of marketing assets as needed to accelerate E&O sales.
  • Ability to learn and navigate SAP, Power BI and other relevant Hubbell Lighting Systems.
  • Responsible for conducting monthly reports on sales-to-goal status and key sales initiatives for E&O.
Skills and Experience

Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution

Minimum of 2 years experience workng in a Sales and Proudct Marketing environment

Ability to work in US without Company sponsorship

Sales, product and market experience with commercial and industrial lighting preferred but not required.
