Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

PRIMARY PURPOSE:  In this position, you will aid in the consolidation of financial reporting, monthly forecasts, and yearly budgets.  You will also be responsible for developing, executing, and analyzing financial reports/models that aid in the decision making of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Financial loading and consolidations – actuals, forecasts, and budgets
  • Developing financial reports and models using SAP, Hyperion, and MS Excel
  • Month end responsibilities include making journal entries, reconciling G/L accounts, executing and distributing financial reports, and analyzing financial data
  • Liaison between Business Unit Controllers and other staff to resolve issues, compile data, and answer questions
  • Back up for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager
  • Other ad hoc requests/special projects consistent with company objectives



  • Work extended hours as needed especially during the closing process in the beginning of every month
  • Available to travel overnight to manufacturing sites as required (typically 2-3 times a year)

Skills and Experience

  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years accounting and/or finance experience
  • Proficient in MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • SAP and/or Hyperion experience a big plus
  • MBA a plus, but not required
  • Pursuing CMA or CPA designation is a plus

Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
