Position Overview

This position may be a virtual role, based out of the resource’s existing office; preferably it would reside in an existing OHF “hub” (Greenville SC, Centralia MO, Shelton CT).  The role reports directly to Account Payable Process Owner.  This position will serve as a key member of the OHF Finance Transformation team.

 

This interactive role will also serve as a key interface between Hubbell Employees, the Business Group Finance and Operations teams and the OHF organization: newly created Shared Services and Centers of Excellence to ensure objectives are met and internal customer requirements are satisfied on a regular basis.  This position will interact with sourcing, treasury, the businesses, employees and EXL to ensure the delivery of value-added service delivery of travel services related to Citi and Concur. This position is also responsible for monitoring delivery of implemented periodic reporting. Overall this individual should possess excellent interpersonal skills to partner and collaborate across the organization while maintaining excellent business partnerships and working relationships across Hubbell and third parties such as Citi and Concur.  Additionally, he/she should exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the company travel and purchasing card program
  • Develop strategic policies and programs for corporate travel
  • Manage relationships with Citibank and Concur
  • Support Citibank program and relationship through treasury function
  • Concur configuration
  • Managing EXL resources supporting the program
    1. Daily monitoring of EXL performance and responding to their questions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of how Concur is configured to works.
    1. Understanding of the working relationship of the product from transaction import, expense creation, workflow for both travel and purchasing cards.
    2. Daily purchasing card assignment
    3. Adding new cost centers to configuration
    4. Handling of new acquisitions to transition to Hubbell’s card program and Concur
    5. Process to update business units converted to SAP
    6. Ability to research to resolve issues – cause/effect
    7. Monitoring through reports and follow up with employees
    8. Reconcile weekly extraction funding
    9. Understanding of Concur IDOC errors and work to resolve
  • Commercial Travel and Purchasing Program –
    1. Working knowledge of Hubbell’s managing accounts, process to add new.
    2. Communicate with Citibank globally
    3. MCC issues and how to address
  • Travel 5% to 10%

Skills and Experience

  • Corporate travel manager with 5+ years of experience in similar positions
  • Experience with U.S. multi-national public company, ideally >$1+Billion annual revenue
  • Knowledge of international travel regulations, customs and currencies
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • SAP and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, ability to lead large scale initiatives and projects with both local and executive management; ability to communicate with others
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing regularly with professionals at all levels of the organization, from manufacturing floor to senior executive office
  • Proactive and collaborative in management style and communication approach
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment
  • Proven Concur configuration experience              
  • Knowledge of T&E reporting and processing
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • An analytical mind with strong business acumen
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Training in travel and tourism is a plus
