Position Overview

The Field Sales representative is responsible, within an assigned geographic territory, to promote and sell thermOweld® product lines in the market place to distributors, contractor and end users.  The Field Sales Representative is responsible for working with engineers and consultants in furthering the specifications of thermOweld® products. Territory includes TX, OK, LA, AR, MS and TN.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively call, research and qualify on a daily basis electrical distributors, contractors and end users to promote, specify and sell thermOweld® products,
  • Understand thermOweld® market position in comparison to our competitors, and be able to articulate the facts, features and benefits of thermOweld® product line.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to service existing and potential new customers with demonstrations, training and certification.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports including details on business conditions, won and lost opportunities.
  • Meets or exceeds sales quota on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Works within assigned expense budget and keeps expense account records.
  • Send or deliver in hand thermOweld® literature to existing customers and potential new customers.
  • Develop relationships with existing and potential new customers located on his/her geographic territory to further build our partnership.
  • Demonstrate thermOweld® products by using samples, demo kit, videos and catalogs to emphasize unique thermOweld® competitive advantages. 
  • Promote and sell new product developments as soon as they are launched to the market.
  • Develop and have the ability to handle a wide range of customers, and situations including but not limited to: company owner, managers, counter clerk, architect, installer and manufacturer reps. The Field Sales Representative needs to be someone our customers count on for information.
  • Understand the flow of an order within the system. Monitor orders with our customer service team to ensure quality service to our customers. 
  • Manage daily e-mail and telephone inquiries and work with customer service team to ensure rapid response to customers.
  • Provides information on prices, credit terms and other term conditions of sales. 
  • Estimates date of delivery to customers, based on knowledge of delivery schedules.

  • Stay focused on sales goals of thermOweld® products.
  • Interact with New Product Development team to obtain response for requests for creation of new or specialty products.  Communicate options to customers and follow through to obtain orders.
  • Follow-up on quotes issued to existing and potential customers on his/her territory as necessary to generate successful response for orders.
  • Manage data input of distributors, contractors and end users on his/her territory on CRM software.
  • Process quotes and pricing request.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with MS applications (Word, PPT, Excel)
  • Ability for travel, including overnight stays if required
  • Position will be based in Tulsa, OK
