Position Overview

The Electronics Engineer will participate on new product development teams, primarily focused on designing, developing, testing, validating, and troubleshooting microcontroller-based industrial control panels. This position will reside in Archdale, NC.

Skills and Experience

  • Participate on New Product Development (NPD) teams to deliver new products with a high degree of complexity; responsibilities include requirements analysis and system design.
  • Design, develop, test, and validate microcontroller-based PCBs.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation (at board and system level) for new and existing products.
  • Design and evaluate products, parts, and processes for cost efficiency and reliability.
  • This role with interact with mechanical and software engineers, sales, and production, as well as with vendors and board houses.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must have at least 2 years industry experience in electronics-based product development.
  • Proficient in Altium Designer for schematic capture, component selection, component creation, PCB layout, Gerber generation & verification.
  • Experience creating microcontroller-based PCB designs.
  • Excellent knowledge of electronic components.
  • Strong organizational skills in documenting design, testing, and validation processes.
  • Experience with the design requirements of UL508A and/or UL218 is a plus.
  • Experience with C/C++ is a plus.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics
