Position Overview

The Data Reporting Analyst will assist in design, develop, implement, maintain, and support business solutions and databases. Responsible for understanding Hubbell’s business needs and for specifying and interpreting the data necessary to support those needs. Ensures the ETLs (Extract, Transform, and Load) from various sources are accurate. The Data Reporting Analyst will report to the Manager Data Reporting & Analytics (and has no direct reports).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • In support of business needs, create data driven solutions using SQL Server and various business intelligence tools.
  •  Provide enhancements to existing ETL processes by gathering detailed requirements and coordinating the implementation, rollout, and support of relevant systems with the Manager Data Reporting & Analytics.
  • Responsible for Quarterly and Monthly Commission Report involving all calculations (including MBO’s), adjustments and maintenance of commission report system in support of the direct field sales force and outside agent sales representatives
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the BW/Business Objects field sales reports and allowing access by Field Sales Management to sales reports via web portal and direct email.
  • Coordinate tasks and plans to support all aspects of customer incentive program (PIP) implementation and reporting.
  •  Coordinate monthly point of sale (POS) collection and scrubbing processes.
  •  Assist in the implementation of new software by providing new data services for applications.
  •  Identify and diagnose data quality issues and provide recommendations on solutions. Work with the Manager Data Reporting & Analytics to manage issue resolution process to ensure all user data quality issues are proactively researched, resolved, and communicated.
  •  Create queries and reports for the user community using a variety of software tools.
  •  Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisor.

Skills and Experience

  •  Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information System
  • Prior experience with SAP a plus.
  •  Excellent analytical skills, problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
  •  Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with SQL 2008/2012
  •  Business Objects experience a plus.
  •  ETL: SQL Server Integration Services
  •  Solid understanding of the development lifecycle


Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
