Position Overview

Administrative and customer relations position responsible for responding, by phone or email, to Sales Representative, Distributor and Customer’s requests, concerns and/or complaints for the Canadian division. Researches and resolves complaints to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. Maintains direct contact with numerous departments within HLI, outside Sales Representatives and multiple channels of distribution. Promotes organizations products and services. Must thoroughly understand company’s products and their applications.  Work is performed under moderate supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responds to sales representative’s requests, concerns and complaints.
  • Ability to answer sales representative/customer’s questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Handles high volume of inquiries in English and French.
  • Enters orders and provides order inquiry and inventory status.
  • Responds quickly to questions and tracks responsiveness levels.
  • When fixtures are not available, seeks substitutes to resolve customer’s needs.
  • Follow up on orders that have shipped.
  • Provide research and problem solving to agents as directed by supervisor.
  • Handle all facets of order service for customers.
  • Expedites orders and handles clarification where necessary.
  • Translates sales/marketing materials when needed.

     

Skills and Experience

  • Two year college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to four years business experience with significant exposure to Customer Service.
  • Bilingual English/French. Fluency in both languages is required.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills.
  • Computer literate. MS Excel and Word a plus.
