Position Overview


We are looking to hire a Cyber Security Engineer with an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cybersecurity methodologies to join the Hubbell Cybersecurity team. In this role, the Cyber Security Engineer will support the efforts to keep the company safe and secure, using the latest technologies and processes.  The Cyber Security Engineers is expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure when necessary.
To ensure success, the Cyber Security Engineer must display an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures using Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, Endpoint EDR and Security Audits. The candidate should be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, learn new technologies, security problems, and troubleshooting. 

Duties and Responsibilities


•    Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring and upgrading security measures for the protection of Hubbell's data, systems and networks.
•    Troubleshooting security and network problems.
•    Responding to all system and/or network security breaches.
•    Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling and enforcing the appropriate security controls.
•    Participating in the change management process.
•    Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
•    Attending daily security operations meetings as well perform administrative tasks, reporting and communications as required 

Skills and Experience


•    A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification
•    3-5 years experience in cybersecurity and cybersecurity operations
•    Experience with endpoint protection using tools such as CrowdStrike or Carbon Black
•    Experience with email security using tools like Proofpoint or Mimecast
•    Working knowledge of patch and vulnerability management
•    Experience with proactive threat hunting and response
•    Experience with implementing and monitoring intrusion detection tools
•    Familiar with Cyber security awareness training
•    Familiar with common cyber frameworks and tools such as NIST and MITRE Attack
•    Awareness of threat intelligence, cybersecurity trends and hacking methodologies
•    CompTIA Plus or CISSP certification
•    Knowledge of encryption methodologies
•    Knowledge IoT security 
•    Previous experience setting up and managing a SIEM configuration 
•    Incident response and forensics
•    Experience with Network security and segmentation
