Position Overview

The Hubbell Enterprise Marketing (HEM) Associate Videographer is responsible for capturing Hubbell and its portfolio of brands on film through creative video production to be used on a corporate website and other marketing material. The Associate Videographer captures the essence and story the video needs to tell given the project objective.

The Associate Videographer should be extremely creative, dedicated, have a keen eye and work well under pressure and against deadlines. They will ensure a consistent Hubbell voice through imagery and overall look and feel to drive awareness, engagement, and advocacy. The successful candidate will be able to achieve technical, qualitative and quantitative goals while meeting project’s needs and targets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand specifications and work closely with the art team to develop the concept
  • Confer with internal customers to discuss project requirements, objectives, presentation concepts and then coordinate creative activities
  • Support pre-production activities such as location scouting, set dressing, costuming, script writing, and talent scouting.
  • Arrange objects, scenes, lighting and background to adhere to specifications and set accurate settings for footage
  • Work with actors providing them direction and coaching
  • Use videography equipment to gather footage until desired results are achieved
  • Transfer footage in an organized manner that allows for collaborative work
  • Edit footage to build videos that achieve partners goals
  • Use feedback from leads or Sr Videographers to improve footage or edits
  • Export final projects in a manner that ensures the best results for the desired use case
  • Provide input and collaboration on the best usage of footage and completed projects
  • Ensure high quality and on time completion of all work projects

Skills and Experience

  • BS degree in film production, art history, or other relevant field of study
  • 1+ years of experience in video production or related experience
  • Technical knowledge of all camera equipment
  • Sense of visual composition and perspective
  • Professional shooting experience
  • Shooting and lighting skills
  • Proficiency in applying editing best practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of production process and export standards
  • The ability to work with little to no supervision in delivering high quality work and is capable of effectively collaborating with global, cross-functional teams as needed
  • Able to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively
  • Strong listening, project management, interpersonal, and communications skills
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a result-driven environment
  • Knowledge of Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or other editing / postproduction specific software
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Available to travel up to 30%
