Position Overview

Primarily responsible for Customer focused service at the Distribution Center.  This is accomplished through expediting deliveries as requested by Customer Service, monitoring scheduled shipping, and providing aid to Customers who come to the RDC.  Other duties are clerical in nature.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison between the Distribution Center and Customer Service.
  • Creates and updates reports using Excel, Word, and Power Point, as required by DC Manager.
  • Monitors Expedite e-mail box and works with DC Supervisors to ensure shipments are made on a timely basis.
  • Monitors shipping reports within SAP to ensure all shipments are posted daily.
  • Creates domestic and export shipping documentation as required.
  • Plays a key role in records retention program.
  • Serves as DC receptionist.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is desired.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally in writing.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and communicate well within all levels of the organization.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals/demands.
  • Strong attention to detail and results oriented.
  • Ability to be a team player, maintain a positive attitude and lead by example.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work required schedule for the job. 
  • Must be able to meet and sustain reasonable performance expectations for role.
