Division Overview
Hubbell Construction & Energy (HCE) focuses on products to support four business segments: Connectors, Grounding & Tooling, Gas Connectors & Accessories, Harsh & Hazardous, and Distribution. With markets in renewable energy, lighting, transportation, data center, telecom, utility, extreme environment, gas and water distribution, power generation and oil & gas, we guarantee that our products set the standards for industry solutions. Summary of Position:  This position is responsible for overall assembly process.  To follow all specifications and verbal instructions, safety procedures and testing standards.

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

Responsible for identifying and verifying proper parts prior to assembly.

 

Inspects all parts for visible damage.

 

Responsible for assembling of units.

 

Applies pipe sealant

 

Keeping accurate counts of what has been done in a half hour as well as identifying and tagging baskets with correct part #’s and quantities

 

Ensures the tightness and alignment of all pieces assembled.

 

Tests assembled units to specifications set by the utility company.

 

Work in an efficient manner to keep pace with the other team members in the cell

 

Follow the safety guidelines during assembly to ensure that safety of the assembler and his team members as well

 

Work with the team lead and other team members to continually improve the cell efficiencies and processes within the cell

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or GED.  Must be reliable, and able to follow directions and be able to perform physically demand work.

 

WORKING ENVIROMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Physical Demands include but are not limited to standing for long periods of time, stooping, kneeling, bending and walking.  The ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
