Position Overview

This position will be responsible for and charged with identifying, growing and maintaining of national and regional accounts.  The Account Manager coordinates sales, marketing and distribution to ensure effective relationship management and generate additional sales opportunities in the retail, commercial/industrial, hospitality and construction industries .  The Account Manager achieves their individual sales goals, maximizes company sales volume and margin, strengthens brand presence and enhances customer relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes market penetration and targets strategic opportunities for growth. Specific targets will be established and updated periodically.
  • Utilizes their relationships to increase national and regional account sales.
  • Develops national programs, specifications, and supplier agreements with accounts and maintains relationships with these accounts to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicates with Sales, Marketing, UI/UX and other departments, spearheading projects to ensure that customers’ requirements are clearly and completely communicated.
  • Ensures account presentations, internal meetings, and customer-facing communications are managed and executed.  Communicates with and trains customers and their delegates as needed to ensure program success.
  • Partners with Marketing and product development functions to identify new product needs from competitive analysis and/or as a result of account strategy.
  • Analyzes current business and product trends to identify incremental opportunities.  Keeps up to date on market trends and new products and stay abreast of industry matters through third party resources and networks
  • Uses company CRM system to track all sales activity and manage sales pipeline.
  • Provides periodic reporting for inclusion in corporate communications.  Participates as needed in department meetings to provide project updates.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50-60% of the time
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience
  • Experience in the retail, commercial/industrial, hospitality, or construction industries
  • Documented and referencable track record of sales performance
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strategic thinker, high-performing executer
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience-based negotiation and strategy skills
  • Ability to effectively manage projects, remain organized and promote cross-functional collaboration

Education

Bachelors Degree
