Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

The AP Accountant is responsible for ensuring all supplier invoices are correct and supported by necessary documentations.  He/she is in-charged of timely recording of supplier invoices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with suppliers and ensures invoices are correct and supported by delivery receipt, receiving report, purchase order, and quotation. Enters suppliers’ invoices in the ERP while ensuring VAT and withholding taxes are classified and entered correctly. Prepares the details of all BIR related monthly reports such as expanded withholding taxes, input taxes, output taxes, final withholding taxes, etc. File the VAT relief and alphalist on withholding taxes. Reconciles all input and expanded withholding taxes against the corresponding expense accounts. Prepares suppliers accruals during month-end closing. Prepares reconciliation of all assigned Balance Sheet accounts.

Skills and Experience

Preferably a graduate of bachelor’s degree in accountancy or any business-related course. Minimum of 3 years accounts payable experience. Preferably with experience in SAP. Advanced MS Office skill set. Good oral and written communication skills. Self-starter with strong problem-solving skill set.
