Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by designing, building, and repairing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in the production of precision parts. You will work closely with engineers, machinists, and other team members to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency in our manufacturing operation.

 

A day in the life

Craft precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures with various machinery, including milling machines, lathes, grinders, and CNC machines.

Maintaining existing tools and dies, identifying and repairing wear, damage, or malfunction.

Work with engineers and production, providing your technical expertise to ensure collaboration and success in all tooling and die matters.

Upholding company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure we not only meet but exceed industry regulations and customer expectations while making safety first priority.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Strong knowledge of machining operations, including milling, turning, grinding, and CNC machining a plus.

Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in tooling and die fabrication and repair.

Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, machinists, and other team members.

Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

What will help you thrive in this role

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship program with Journeyman’s Card or proven 6 years’ experience as a Tool And Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.

Note: Additional certifications or specialized training in tooling and die-making will be considered an advantage.
