CoE Engineering in collaboration with Hubbell’s global segments, Hubbell Utility Solutions (HUS) and Hubbell Electrical Solutions (HES) we accelerate the development of the most impactful technical solutions within Hubbell. In fields like Smart Grid, Data Centers, Renewables, Commercial Buildings, Industrial, Telecom, Transportation, and more. We are looking for an engineering manager with experience in one of the following: Cloud Computing, Embedded Development, Cybersecurity, Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, IoT, Wireless Communications, and more.

A Day In The Life

• Lead a team of highly skilled functional CoE managers: Software, AR/VR, DTV/DFMA, Simulation and Industrial Design.

• Maintain relationship with US engineering and business leads.

• Established process to retain, recruit, and mentor top technical talent.

• Individual contributor role in addition to manager.

• Ability to assess skills gap and identify hiring and/or curated training opportunities.

• Enable a culture of innovation that delivers differentiated, market leading solutions.

What will help you thrive in this role?

BS in one of the following: Computer Science, Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, or equivalent practical experience.

• Development familiarity with one of the following: Software, Firmware, Simulation, Mechanical, Industrial Design.

• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years leading large teams and product development projects.

• Proven global leadership skills, including the stature and self-confidence associated with direct and indirect leadership, and the ability to associate with all levels in the organization.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and CoE roadmaps.

• Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
